Vincent Onsomu
Vincent is a seasoned tax and finance executive with over 20 years of experience advising corporate and private clients across East Africa. As the firm’s Head of Tax Advisory, he leads the delivery of strategic tax planning, regulatory compliance, and business advisory services, enabling clients to navigate complex tax and regulatory landscapes while enhancing enterprise value. His approach combines deep technical expertise, commercial acumen, and technology-enabled solutions to support informed decision-making and long-term business growth.
Experience
Vincent brings extensive expertise across tax advisory, strategic finance, capital raising, corporate governance, financial operations, regulatory compliance, internal and external audit, and executive financial reporting. Throughout his career, he has provided strategic financial leadership to organizations across diverse industries, earning recognition for delivering commercially focused, practical, and results-oriented solutions.
He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in International Business Administration from the United States International University–Africa (USIU-A). He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Business Administration at the University of Nairobi. His executive development includes leadership certification from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, executive education in Managing Healthcare Business from Strathmore Business School, and specialized training in Monitoring and Evaluation and the Application of Blockchain in Trade Facilitation through the UNCTAD Empowerment Programme.
Vincent is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA Kenya), and the Institute of Directors Kenya (IoD Kenya).
